Mehndi Designs as Body Art Form

Mehndi has been a very famous body art form since hundred years which marks the preparation of a lady to meet her spouse/husband. It is used by people belonging to many religions like Hindus, Muslims, Jews, Christians and Zoroastrians. The most important occasion on which mehndi/henna is used to beautify a woman is her marriage. Mehndi is used to express happiness. In India, the women of the whole family apply mehndi on their hands and foot before the day of the marriage and a special ceremony is held on which the bride is decorated with mehndi called “Mehndi Rasam”. Also, this body art has taken a commercial nature and has opened a lot of opportunities for people who want to work as henna/mehndi artists and can earn a lot.
